Do you have a Valentine this year?
Yes, I do, and I have to say, it’s quite bizarre. Holidays have never been exactly good to me relationship-wise and this is only my second Valentine’s with someone where we’re both happy. It’s a blessing.
Have you gotten anything for them?
Yes, I do. I can’t disclose it too fully as I’ll give it tomorrow, as per agreement. All I can say is that one part of it will be naughty and one part of it will be from the heart.
What’s the best Valentine’s present you’ve ever given to someone?
I honestly have no idea. The one I got the most overwhelming reaction was from when I gave them every single Valentine’s gift cliche I could ever grab my hands on. A date, candy, chocolates, flowers, a teddy bear, another stuffed toy that I exchanged tickets for, a sappy letter, serenading with a song I wrote, a poem, dinner, cuddles and ended with a damn good kiss (at least the best I could muster).
I was in love. Too bad that she broke my heart. I did learn to watch out for myself at least.
What’s the best Valentine’s present someone has given to you?
It was a scrapbook. She gave me a scrapbook chronicling our life together: dates, activities, everything. It was so touching. She even kept the burger wrapper from the place where we first ate. It was so heartwarming to have received something that took so much time and effort to prepare.
